July 18, 2010

The Board of Directors and membership of the 100 Club of Chicago extend their condolences to the family of:

Officer Bailey was shot and killed on July 18, 2010 while attempting to take action in an attempted armed robbery near his home. Officer Bailey just returned from a Mayoral protection detail and was still in uniform when as many as three male subjects approached and attempted to rob him of his vehicle. He identified himself as a Police Officer and exchanged gunfire with the subjects who fled the scene.

Representatives of the 100 Club of Chicago will present a check on July 20 to the family of Officer Bailey.
